"Defending the region, staying, insisting, not surrendering, maintaining territory and culture, but at the same time integrating the new and developing with modern times." this is how Bock describes South Tyrol in an email from Paris, where she lives.Maybe in accordance with this perspective the sculpture Personne stands unfaltering and invincible despite the water trickling on his head in case of bad weather. The water pipe of the Gasthaus zur Traube, close to the village's main square, was redirected in a way that the effluent drips directly on the head of the sculpture. Bock also shows a transparent tube filled with water from the Mediterranean in which all South Tyrolian streams and rivers eventually pour into. Another reference to the beach life of the Mediterranean is the deflated Super Santos ball, the most famous beach ball in Italy, here jammed with a belt between the wall and a ceramic object on the facade of the Gasthaus zur Traube.
